How To Sell In Difficult Times

We are in unprecedented times right now, with constant change being the norm. Our ability to adapt to this will be the measurement of long-term success as we head into a new future.

With this in mind, think about how you approach your business. What could you do differently? What would you do if you weren’t afraid? There is a great book to read called “Who Moved My Cheese” by Dr Spencer Johnson. This essentially challenges you to adapt to change. This isn’t just for now. When this is all finished, we will need to change the way in which we conduct business. You will work out which of the 4 characters you are and quickly see how you can approach change differently.

So what now? How can you change what you are doing now? Service and the concept of serving those around you has to be at the forefront of our minds. Selling really is service. It is providing what somebody needs to allow them to do what they need. If we think about offering a service to those clients, what can we offer them in order to help them. If we are able to help people during the challenging times, it is fair and reasonable to expect that when times are good again, and they will be, that those that were of service will reap the benefits. Think about that; being the solution provider during challenging times equals being the company that thrives when times are good again.
